The Philosophy of Wonton Mee

hidden in the alleyways of the city are tiny stalls with scrumptious delicacies that you wouldn't know exist unless a local tells you about it. amongst the many stalls of sweet desserts, stir-fry noodles and noodle soups, a friend shared with me this stall that makes one of the best wonton mees i've ever tasted. :)

in a world of full of contradictions and complexities, in the context of finding their favorite wonton mee, one can simplify the classification and group most people into two categories: one that go to new places and try out the local wonton mee as they travel and then compare and contrast, hoping that one day they'd find one that matches the good taste that they've had before, or perhaps even tastes better than what they remembered of their old time favorite; the other that are satisfied with what they've found and decided to stick to it as the best wonton mee they've ever had - and will ever have. which category do you find yourself in?

are you the adventurous explorer or the conservative loyal keeper? the other day i was chewing my noodles (not wonton noodles) and i accidentally stumbled across the idea of how one behaves when one decides on one's favorite wonton mee (or any other favorites for that matter) tells a lot about one's behavior on love. in many ways, it reflects a person's attitude towards their partner - whether they're a liberal or a conservative; a hopeful or a 'settler'. of course, this classfication is too general to include all the complications people often encounter in the matter of hearts and strings. some who's committed in constant search of good food might turn out to be settler and vice versa. i just thought it's a very cute analogy of love itself and the love of food. it's true for some people, might not be true for others. at least for me and my friend i know it's true. :)

if you have nothing to do, can't sleep at 4.30am, drank too much coffee which is keeping you awake at this hour, or just because, chew on my philosophy of wonton mee. give it some thought. is it true for you? tell me! ;)
