About the blog
This is a sanctuary where I park my deepest (and sometimes controversial) thoughts. Most of the time they're weird, whimsical, and unconventional. I used to write whatever comes to my mind, but have been refraining myself from doing too much of that lately. Filters are needed, maybe because I think it's inappropriate to overshare in this day and age, or maybe I've just 'grown up'. But I'll continue to write about reflections in life, in the clinical settings, about humanity and medicine. In between reflections, there will still be updates of my personal life and some photos that I take. I hope you like what you read, and if you have any thoughts or comments I'd love to hear them!
About me
Long, long time ago, I had this idea about myself: just before I was born, my soul exploded into a million little pieces (something akin to 'the big bang' theory but of the soul), and they were all scattered across the world. I am on a journey to collect those little pieces. Every now and then I see a little bit of me in the people I've met- people across continents, of different races, different build, who speak different languages. Perhaps it's just the common core of humanity; we're all more similar than we know. But I'd still like to think I'm on this exploration, this soul-searching journey, to be whole again. But that's only one part of the story.
The more conventional part of the story is this: I'm a recent medical graduate about to embark on a resident's journey - if all goes well, that is. In the meantime, I study heart failure and inherited cardiac diseases. At the side, I try to learn a little about everything and try to make sense of the world we live in. Putting little pieces together to get a bigger picture, at the same time reminding self not to lose focus on my primary goal. The rest of it you'll read them in the blog posts.
Peace.
