The Bottomless Pit

She's amused at how they can talk. Not just the length of time that they can go on and on about mindless trivial topics that probably none of them would even remember by the next morning, but also how effortless it seemed to them to be able to generate a string of words sentences and paragraphs, monologues mostly, on things that so meant so little to them, if anything. Their blithe ignorance and misplaced concern makes her wonder their priorities in life.

Which leads her to wonder, who's to say their priorities are messed up. What ARE the absolute set of priorities that people should have anyways. so who's she to judge? No she doesn't think she's judging, hence the word 'amused' - cuz they're quite different from hers (priorities). then again, as this amusement is taking place, is it not a sort of judgment by itself?! the kind that notes the differences between the different school of thoughts, and perhaps subconsciously she's made up her mind that she's a little more superior than them, thus no need to throw out any derogatory judgmental comments at others. But see, here's where she's wrong. why is she the superior one? back to the question of priorities, there ain't no absolute right or wrong. just opinions, perspectives. she's entitled to hers. but that's all there is to it.

so let her wonder all she want, wander all around.. and let her soak up all the amusement she can find. as long as she doesn't drown herself in her pool of bottomless mind; long as she knows when to stop.

sometimes we all have to stop thinking.
just.
stop.
stop trying to make sense out of everything...
