CanNOT Understand!

Lately my non-american accent's been scrutinized to the max. they kept saying i have an accent which i stubbornly denied with all mightiness. i do NOT have a friggin' accent okay! it's not british (i wished!), it's definitely not american, and it's not exactly malaysian accent too! why can't people just accept it as it is and let it go instead of arguing with me about that?! grrrr. i mean, it's funny for the first few times when they joke around, but it just gets boring and annoying after some time, ya know! -.- and they also noted that i always say 'cannot' rather than 'cant'. this i realized i do it a lot, and it's a malaysian thing i think?! if you pay attention we all do that - emphasizing the negation word 'not'.

anyways. i know what i'm gonna say next is gonna sound very discriminatory. but why do younger guys always like to tell you what to do when you happened to rant about something? whyyyy???? sometimes people just wanna let it out, you know, whine a little complain here and there, but it's really not a big deal and they definitely aren't looking for suggestions on how to deal with it!! why can't they just lend an ear and just move on with other topics. why do they have to go on and on proving a point or opinion or the right way to do things - all of which you already know very well only they think you don't. can someone explain to me why they're liddat. it gets on my nerves and i know it's not their fault cuz they're only doing it out of good intention. but really. i think it's good to think twice before saying something, i.e. could it be superfluous to say all those when the other party already know all that? i mean, i for one would definitely ask for your opinion if i need one!

sigh. ok that's me being the mean self. it's been happening too often i just needed to vent. (please don't tell me what i should do the next time this happens, because i really don't wanna be crude and tell them off. thanks but no thanks)
