the pomona way

put a bunch of malaysians wherever, even one so unheard of like p-town, they will still act like malaysians i.e. be very "punctual"; talk like malaysians, i.e. "eh where got", "so how?", "... lah", "why liddat wan" etc etc. in their very malaysian slang till all the ang-moh's "hear no road". and yet they will switch to the standard english when talking to them ang-moh's (well, hopefully). and if you want hokkien, mandarin, cantonese, or even hakka and teochew for some, we can do too. such are us versatile bunch. :)

and even though we're far from home, we still remember how it's done at home and will try to make the best out of the limited resources here, not forgetting to enjoy life (and food). ;P

the above was our very own version of 'yee sang'! with chunks of fresh salmon! yum. :)

happy chinese new year, geong hee huat chye, gong xi fa cai, to daddy and mommy. this picture is our yearly ritual of wishing you a very good year ahead. :) can we have bigger angpao's this year, pleeeassseee? :P
