FD Day 20: Monday Madness

"Knowing is not enough; we must apply.
Willing is not enough; we must do."
 ~ Goethe

Usually it's not until after Monday midnight that I really get started on my schoolwork. I'm glad to say I was rather productive: read lots of papers/articles and... and nothing. Uhh... It doesn't sound like a lot, but it sure felt that way. Yet while I was reading pages and pages of health IT stuff, strategy and marketing for health care organizations, and quality improvement for health care, I wonder when I will ever use these knowledge. Thing is, knowledge as such becomes pointless if it's not applied in an actual real-life setting - you'd soon forget them after some time (unless of course you keep yourself updated and self-study on it every now and then). Hmm. No matter. Maybe if things don't turn out as I wish, I'd consider doing Masters in Health Informatics. Or PhD. But it's just a thought. I'm still sticking to my original plan.

Anyway. Here's yesterday's junk food intake:
- throughout the long night while I was studying: 100-calorie popcorn, 100-calorie apple cinnamon fruit crisps, and munching on Special K's blueberry cereal
- 5:30am - the said cereal with nonfat milk
- 9:00am - an apple
- 2:00pm - 2 slices of bread with scrambled eggs in between, coffee
- 6:30pm - in class: had coffee
- 11:00pm - more coffee; roommate made glass noodle (the instant kind) with crab stick and 2 fishballs for us. yum. :)

Off to study again! Later.
