For Laughs

imagine peeking over at your boss' desk and saw your performance appraisal right on top of the stack. you can't help but reach out and read what he wrote. then almost as soon as you read the first sentence, you wished you hadn't. below could be what you might have read...

"since my last report, this employee has reached rock bottom and has started to dig."

"this associate is really not so much of has-been, but more of a definitely won’t-be."

"works well when under constant supervision and cornered like a rat in a trap."

"this young lady has delusions of adequacy."

"he sets low personal standards and then consistently fails to achieve them."

"this employee should go far, and the sooner he starts, the better."

"this employee is depriving a village somewhere of an idiot."

i don't know about you, but to me they sounded pretty damn mean. at the same time though, i can't help but laugh every time i read it. :D i thought it might put a smile on your face, so i'm sharing them here. in case you're wondering, it's something our professor shared in class today. he said they are real-life examples of what managers wrote about their employees, but since i don't know who the "victims" are, i don't reckon it's mean to laugh at these comments. right?! righttt? :P
