i'm doing some last-minute revision for my exam that's less than 48 hours away. some thoughts kept coming back to me, so even though they're really nothing new - just some life's lessons and mantras - i need to jot them down for future references and as a reminder to self. here are a few to share:
1. you get what you deserve, and you deserve what you work for. if you're not getting what you want, then maybe you're not working hard enough. hence if you're not working hard enough, then chances are you don't really want it, or you don't want it bad enough. but whatever it is, there's no such thing as "you're just not cut out for it". it's true you have no control over too many things in life, but you're still largely in charged of your life. 3 words summed it up: Practice Makes Perfect.
2. the beauty of our human mind is that, it's constantly firing a myriad of electrochemical signals every nanosecond and if you were to write down each thought that comes to you, you'd be surprised; heck you might even think you're mad! yet, don't let this deter you from any active thinking just because you think you might have some ADD issues. who knows, one of those sparks could be an idea that might change the world drastically! :) get a journal, if you don't already own one. ;)
3. nonetheless, having said that, we should all learn to trust our instincts. experiences have shown me umpteenth time, that our gut feeling is never wrong. (yet the smart-ass i.e. yours truly, is still obstinate bout using the head to think. ugh, some people just never learn eh!! :P) this time, i'm going into the exam hall trusting my instincts more than the higher level of cognitive thinking. the latter is overrated, sometimes. as much as i'm fascinated by the brain and its physiology, our mind can be fooled ever so easily. and it's just our second nature to doubt everything that comes to our mind first. bad idea!
okay that's it for now. getting back to PV = nRT, Snell's Law, my mother's law, my uncle's theory, my clan's prophecy........ ughh....
