Chean complained that it's very unfair that I always got the better treatment from Starbucks amidst a mix-up of orders by the baristas. See I had been pretty unlucky initially... I mean, what are the odds for your drink to be mistaken by the customer after you who left with your cup of coffee, twice in a row successively (on two different days of course)? It happened to me a while ago... but for both times I got a size larger than the one I ordered after the mix-up, with the baristas apologizing non-stop. Haha! Blessing in disguise! So nice! : ) I call it my 'coffee luck'. The picture above was my grande coffee and Chean's tall coffee. =P
But that's not what I wanna write about actually. Today as I was walking by other people's apartment, I saw two Starbucks coffee cup placed near the window sill (I have a habit of always looking into people's apartment hoping to catch a glimpse of their lifestyles). So I told Chean, Hey look she collects Starbucks' paper cup! How cute! It's soooo something that I would do!! Chean's very quick to reply, How do you know it's a 'she'???
I paused. Yeahhh then only I realize I jumped to conclusion that it must've been a 'she' because I'd do something like that, and I'm a girl so that person has to be too. But who's to say none of the male species (or anythg in between) don't do that too? Amazing how human minds work... our judgment is passed on the basis of preceding experiences that are coupled with things that are similar or that consist certain patterns that we link together, and it happened in such a haste that we didn't even spend a second more to think it through. Most of the time it could be right, but this is also how arguments, misunderstandings, conflicts happen... when people say things before they know what they're saying, point fingers at people blaming others for things that upset them... etc etc you get my point.
Our mindset. A very powerful asset that us humans possess. Use it wisely, or disasters are bound to happen. :) Cheers people.
By the way.... as it turns out, yes I was right - it was a girl who put it there... I saw her later the same day when I passed her unit by.
