Friendship Forever: Part I

So, are most if not all friendships like how most people hope for, that it's everlasting? Friends with benefits (all sorts of benefits, you name it. but its not the topic of discussion for today) aside, are all our friends expected to be counted on and not fail us at any point of life? Or, rather, are we never to be bound to disappoint our friends or fail them at some point of life?

I, for one, do not believe in forever. Too vague and abstract to touch and to hold on to. The present is much more... concrete.. and promising. But having said that, my friends are a huge part of my life, and I intend to keep it this way till as long as it can be. So while it lasts, I have some short messages to them. So here goes. My shoutouts to them.

To Ling & Suang, for your foremost support and honesty at all times. Let's see, we've known each other since before we have boobs and puberty hair and that should say a lot isnt it. (Haha, dont mind me. Just another way to say we're been friends for too long a time to remember, but in a cruder way). Gone through so much we've had, and more to come I hope. What am I talking about...well I guess I'm just saying tht I love you both heaps and words just cant describe how much you all mean to me anymore. =)
To CP, a very good friend of whom I care about a lot (and also whom I got to know about the same time as Ling & Suang - I dont wanna repeat tht phrase again =P). Thank you for being there for me, always giving me sound advice, and being my chauffeur whenever we have a meet-up/gathering. Want you to know, I appreciate evythg you've done for me, and tht you can count on me anytime anywhere okay. And even though we hardly ever see or talk to each other anymore, it doesnt mean you're less of an important friend to me. So do gimme a buzz or smthg every once in a while, will ya?! =)
To Siqin & Val, my 2 sushi-&-coffee buddies. ;P I love hanging out with you guys, I just wished we'd have more time to spend together. Val, your determination, optimistic & focused attitude makes me wanna be a better and happier person. Siqin, your faith inspires me. Thanks girls. Our times spent together meant a great deal to me.. and I'm looking forward to our next meeting! Hopefully we can also do smthg else other than food-involving activities! ;P
To Mand, who've stood by me through my toughest moments. Thanks for being truthful to the very last bit; thanks for just being you, and accepting who I am. I can talk to u bout evythg at all, (Im sure u know what i meant);P. You see so much more in me that even I doubt that they exist. Just want you to know, you meant just as much as I meant to you. And be brave, go girl! This is your war, and you've gotta fight it! Just remember that there're lotsa ppl around who care bout you & support you. And most of all, I'll be here with you emotionally, and help you get through this. Remember our stars? Pls do, whenever you feel homesick and lonely. I'm just next to you; there's nothing to fear.
To Chun Yie, a great friend and my mentor all this while, and though we've stopped the letters corresponding thg, I still feel I can talk to you bout lotsa stuffs. So if I have any problems at all, I'd still come knocking your door! Hope you wont mind! *grin* That being said, you can talk to me bout evythg too, okay? You're like one of my role models, you know that?! :) I dont think I've ever given you a hug before. Here friend, a big hug. *hugs*
To Shi Hui, Lian Hui & Song Jun, you guys are my best sisters (and brotha for SJ lah). =) Though we couldnt make it on the last possible V day tht we could've spent together, I'd like to think we still have many more chances to meet up. =) You guys have been great friends who've been there for me when I needed someone. Never forgot my bday surprises, always drove the extra miles to come fetch me no matter where I was yet never once complained. Love you all. :) *group hugs*
To Kepong gang, I always loved it when you guys come visit. Thanks for coming over and keep in touch every now and then. Meant a lot to me. The door's always open to welcome you guys okay?! Oh by the way, my dad asked, why didnt you guys come to visit during CNY? See.. even he missed you all !!! :) So drop by anytime, for those who are here!! It's an open invitation! Those who're overseas, all the best! Meet up when u guys return okay.
To Rocky & Warner, both of whom I dont see or talk to much (except only when we meet or v. rarely on the msger), yet every single time when we did, always managed to make me feel dumb. (Dont get it the wrong way - im not trying to make u feel bad, its just a diff'rt way of saying u guys r smart). Sometimes I felt like I've been enlightened by you both or smthg. And I must say, you both are good at expressing yourselves with words. =) Have I mentioned I've always looked up (& still do) to both of you? Well, now you know. :)
To Ker Lih, who's funny & witty all the time. A v. fun friend to be with, you must've charmed all the girls in your uni, eh? Lucky your charms didn't work on me, else you'd have broken another innocent heart! *lol* Oh yeah, you always strike me as someone v. mysterious. Being hardly ever serious, you dont reveal much of your true self eh? That, or I just dont know you well/long enough. But either way, I look up to you nonetheless! Just wanted to let you know.
To Ah Goo, my Form 5 'conflict buddy'. haha! Just the fond memories of all the thgs tht we've talked (& 'conflicted') about are enough to make me laugh out loud. Literally. All the nonsense that we've talked about is enough to drown 500 ppl alive!! Yet he's got he's sensitive side too and we can talk bout serious issues too. Wei, conflict buddy! Kinda missed talking to you (though I think I just did..hahah)... We should meet up and do it again some time! When u're back here lah k. Seriously, nonsensical talk is an effective way of de-stressing. Good for body! ;P
To Jun, another friend who never ceased to inspire and motivate me by just being her. Am v. grateful to have you as my dear friend, girl. You'll be a v. fine doc in the near future, of tht I'm sure. Sometimes it can be tough being away from home n all, but I know u'll get over tht feeling. =) and if you ever need anyone to talk to, I'm always hear to lend an ear. :)
To Miyake, we've drifted apart ever since we stopped writing letters eh. There's so much tht's happening to you that I dont know anymore. Wished we'd have more time to catch up. I cant say anythg else than to tell you I'll try to at least mail you once a while if I cant write to u. And despite being 'bullied' all the time by you, you still mean a lot to me. Keep in touch ya!
So erm... I dont think I can finish my personal shout-outs to all my friends whom I care bout. So there's gonna be Part II, and maybe Part III. Till then.
