Well it's been a week huh! Sept 21 was our first day of classes, so it wasnt too busy yet hence i have time to blog and post pics. This week.. well i fell sick since tuesday night, so I didnt have the energy to do anythg except sleep. I swear this is the sickest I've ever got in the past 3 years! -_-
But no worries, I'm feeling much better now, though still aching everywhere especially my back. I'll survive... =) it's just fever n stuff. And the past few days there were flashes of thoughts of which I doubt I can take it anymore... hahaha I know I sound so dramatic and exaggerating... But I mean, seriously.. I've never taken so many tylenols in a day before! I took 8 on Wednesday and 4 on Thursday. Scary.
Hmm so that's bout me for this week. Was too sick I didnt manage to spot any cute guys :P and there's nothing new to talk about when my brain wasnt functioning well. So.. till next post friends! =)

More Random Pictures
There is 'The Curve' over here too. =)
If you've watched the movie 'Click', you'll know about Bedbath & Beyond.
Way beyond!Americans tend to waste electricity. People drive around with their headlights on even during bright day light. Street lights are on during daytime. I wonder why...

Check out this picture! They're mixing ice cream with other stuff like oreo, graham crackers, m&m's etc etc... on cold marble stone - hence the store's name 'Cold Stone'.
Very nice. *drooling*So this is the ice cream menu board. and the cashier... the ice cream pic couldnt come out right... so too bad lah next time i take better ones and post it up here. =) cheers!
Random pictures

Check it out man! Ruffles! 1 whole big pack like that is really quite cheap if you convert it back to ringgit! But i forgot how much exactly it is dee... that i'll have to ask Kan Lun.. he really is enjoying it!! Lun you better take care of your health! And ur teeth!!! =P

This is just a poster my Community Advisor (CA in short) of my apartment made for us. I thought it looked quite cool! My name's at the bottom left, see it? He quoted Rush: Different eyes see different things. Different hearts beat on different strings. But there are times for you and me when all such things agree. (dunno if its lyrics of a song though..)

The coffee 3 in 1 which I brought from home didn't turn out quite right. It looked like tau foo fa juice without the real solid tau foo fa. Gross. I dare not drink it. Know why it turned out this way? cuz the water contains lime or some sorta mineral lah~ eeww... I bought a water filter after that. Dont wanna die of cancer or anythg man.... -_-"

This is the set meal we ate at In-And-Out Burger. It's another fast food chain, but only limited in California. A family business it seems.. and they dont want it to be too widely spread. Apparently they have the best burgers, but I dunno... I havent tried them all... yet. :P But I can say that the burger's good! Even the fries! hohoho... one thing bout America is that you'll never get bored of just 1 type of fast food (but you'll get sick of Fast Food!!).

Trip to IKEA
So on the 5th day upon arrival, which was Sept 16 (my lil bro's birthday), we decided to take a ride down to IKEA (they dont pronounce 'ee-kea' like we always did back home, they say 'eye-kea') for some cheap home furnishings. That's me in Sean's jacket, its cold out there that day, and I didnt have anything warm enough to wear. It's really a nice jacket... there's a dragon on my right-hand sleeve... so 'leehom-ish'!! =)
My brother and his banana - breakfast.
He was fascinated by the fact that there are actually oranges in the garden... huge ones... but they're green in color... dunno if its edible or not...
On the bus, I was sitting behind them. No pun intended, but I thought it was a must-take picture to share with you guys. If I have to name this picture, the title will be: Compare and Contrast. Asians and Americans in U.S., they generally look like them. Okay I might be slightly mean here.. but hey, I'm not passing any judgment man. Just being observant, that's all. It is a fact anyway.
This is my not-so-cool IKEA picture. Check out Brandon's blog for nicer pictures of our outings, and Chea Ean's for interesting pics.
This is actually a huge truck's car number plate. They can actually choose any letters and/or numbers for their car's number plate. Cute, eh. =)
Umm.. this is my not-so-nice picture of a smooth and sleek car. It might look like nothing to you, and it might be true, this may be nothing special.. but there are many many more cars like that here... abundant! Smooth and sleek. I like! =)
Very cute pillows. When I'm rich, I'll get one of these. =P
Well we were famished after shopping around. So we practically gobbled down our meals, grabbed more coffee which is of free refills, and took the free flow of Zesta crackers! Even the salad dressings we didnt leave out. Terrible cheapskate Malaysians I swear. The it's-free-so-we-should-take-all-but-leave-one mentality. Goodness... I admit I was, and still am, horribly disgusted and ashamed by our acts. (Well sadly I didnt grab those personally, but I didnt go against it and I ate those stuff too, so I have to count myself in). Mental not to self: dont do that again!!! -_-"

Around Campus
This is the Japanese Garden. Very beautiful, serene place where you can just sit under the tree and relax, or even lie on the grass and take a nap.
They call this pond the Duck Pond. Because (obviously) it's where the ducks hang out. *duh* It's just another pond similar to the Jap Garden except it doesnt have a bridge or garden path to walk around, and it's not as nice as the Jap Garden. Sometimes it's said that the ducks would wander to the Jap Garden and swim in the mini pond. Even the ducks know where's the cooler hangout! =P
Another picture of the Jap Garden's mini stream. Well I cant exactly remember if it's connected to any pond or its part of the same pond on the other side. You see, I was too mezmerized by it and kept looking through the cam while snapping pics, you know, to find the correct angle for a nicer looking pic, - till I forgot to look at it as a whole, with my own eyes. *dumb* It happens eh... Just like in life, we often enlarge the tiny details or flaws and fret, yet forgot how lucky we actually are for lots of uncountable reasons, if not just for being alive - which leads us to miss out plenty of the good stuff!
This is one of the yellow roses blooming in the Rose Garden. So huge and beautiful!! There are a lot more, in many different colors, I swear its so tempting to wanna just reach out and pluck one out for myself!! And I would! ... if not because of the cctv (located on the building behind the garden) watching the area 24/7... =( I was gonna show you the picture of the small dot of the cctv... but I couldnt post it up here for some unknown reason.. (stupid blogger.com).. so I'll just show you next time.First Few Days
Flight from KLIA to LAX was alright, long and not so comfy but bearable. At the very least, we had our own small tv screen. Some said food was terrible, but I thought it was actually not bad! Well of course, I was comparing it with Uzbek airline and Aeroflot...heh.
Everything went pretty smoothly, and by the time we put our stuff in our assigned rooms, it was later than their predicted time, so we hurried to the International Center (IC) for Middle Eastern food they prepared for us. *yumm* =) Food was good, people were friendly, ya-da ya-da... nothing much.. it's the usual chatty conversation you make with ppl you dont quite know yet just being very extremely polite and sociable and talk bout evythg under the sun... there were maybe a couple of cute guys but one was kinda cocky.. that's bout it that night. Oh we did went to Walmart (if you consider that something to talk about =P)!
Well I didnt really take much picture until the 2nd or 3rd day cuz my batteries drained out. So let's see what I can find to entertain you guys. =P
This is Liz on the left and Beverly on the right. They're our orientation coordinators who worked for the Bronco Student Center with the IC and they brought us around, briefed bout the quick facts bout Cal Poly.
This is the intersection of the campus where most events or anything take place. They call it 'the quad'. Sorry my photography skills sucked.. More pics next post! Going to bed now. Tmr early class. Ta~

And The Journey Begins... (Pictures)
Well I couldn't put up pictures one by one all in 1 post, so this is the best I can do. Sorry for short descriptions, will try to work something out. Enjoy the pictures! =)
And The Journey Begins...

KLIA. We're there quite early. At least I thought so. But when I got there I saw Vinod and Roy already there! Ooof... they're even earlier.. and they looked so awake. I was pretty much still in my sleeping mode, so I didnt take much pictures. Plus, I was already feeling my heart aching at the thought of leaving everything I love so much behind. Checked in my luggage bags, they were only 53 kgs, I shouldn't have let dad took out so many things!!!! Now I gotta buy those things here... more money to be spent. Oh well, what to do.. what's done is done.
The heartache didnt go away, and so I didn't have appetite for breakfast at all. But they're having McD's anyway, I can get it here anytime I want, so I wasn't missing out. =P Hey man, U.S. is like the land of junk and fast food, and they have even tastier fast food than McD's here! Well I should just post up the pics and let them do the talking.
From left to right: Me, Ah Khoon Shu Shu, lil bro Ji En, Kan Lun, Mommy and Daddy. Beneath my huge smile, I do feel bitter sweet. Bitter due to the parting and all, and the money I'm gonna spend *ooouuuuchh*, sweet due to the fact that I'm gonna experience smthg really different and challenging here. The smile, its just a cover-up. I was actually feeling really.... unpleasant at that time...
But Im good now! =)

Counting Down
Counting down the days before I'm leaving off to Pomona. That's it huh.. I'm leaving the country again. For the second time. What's awaiting me at the other side of the world..? =) Well whatever it is, I'll embrace it with all my heart.
I'm thinking what to update everyone, and what to write about that aint too boring. But couldnt come up with much, cuz I've been going out too much, and everytime I have something to tell, I dont have papers and pen to write 'em down. But when I do, like right now, my mind is blank.
Well I cut my hair short!! If that's even a news. :P
And I bumped into my long-lost primary school friend, Johnson!!!! In Mid Valley, on Saturday! Now THAT is definitely something!! =D Can't tell how glad I was to see him again after all these years! I mean, I havent seen him in 10 yrs!!! And I thought I won't ever see him again... But thank god! So happened I arranged for a few of us primary school friends to meet up the next day for lunch. So I asked him to come, and to my delight, he did!! Siqin if you're reading this, hehe I finally saw your bro!! haha! Always nice to see an old friend! =)
Pictures will be up soon, when I get them from Ling. =)
